The jagged ridges of rock escarpments and smooth stones of ancient architecture are transformed into delicate works of wearable art. My jewelry is reminiscent of glass windows and pathways that reflect the earth’s wonders. My specialty is the enameling technique of champlevé. In this technique, recessed areas in the silver are gradually filled with granules of enamel glass which fuse into place when fired in a kiln. The enamel is alive and reflective due to fragments of silver and gold foils glimmering under the surface, the silver is then etched, oxidized and scratched as though by glaciers.
